Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E.) agents continue to terrorize immigrant communities in Washington State and across the country with increasingly militaristic raids, armed arrests, covert detentions and deportations. We ask that you join us in protest of these aggressive enforcement tactics and violations of our neighbors' civil and human rights. Many of our friends and neighbors are being held in this private corporate run Detention Center that is being funded by our tax dollars!

We will meet in the McCormick Room, on the third floor of Collins Memorial Library on the University of Puget Sound campus.

If using an electronic mapping program, the best intersection to map to is "N Union Ave & N 18th St, Tacoma". Going North on Union, turn right on to N 18th St. Turn right into a small university parking lot (technically N Warner St.). Park and walk around to the front of the Library. There is a small map attached.

The ACLU is hosting a celebration at the Washington State History Museum Auditorium on Pacific Ave in Tacoma. Professor Nancy Bristow will be the keynote speaker and UWT's Michael Honey will be playing music. Free for all!

to socialize, exchange ideas, share stories and get to know one another.

From Lionel to LEGO, the museum will be alive with the sights and sounds of tiny trains at the Washington State History Museum's Twelfth Annual Model Train Festival. This festive event will bring out your inner child as you explore the model trains and their miniature worlds on every floor of the museum. The Model Train Festival runs from December 26, 2007 to New Year's Day and is included in the price of admission.

Families are welcome, we have a KIDS' CORNER Toys/Games/Milk and Cookies.
