Tacoma Smash ICE is a collection of individuals concerned that not

We intend to educate those in our community about upcoming events

What is Winter Soldier?

Why Protest at the Mall?

Because Tacoma has so few community spaces, the mall has become one of the key cultural, economic, social hubs of Pierce County

The Tacoma Mall is the single most trafficked site in Tacoma

The mall and the recruiting center on its property target youth: the mall for their allowances and the military for their lives

Make it impossible for business as usual to continue as the Iraq War approaches its 5th year.

Demonstrators will converge at Westlake Park on Wed. March 19 at 6 pm, to mark the 5th Anniversary of the US attack on Iraq.

Call for a Seattle Protest on the 5th Anniversary of the US Invasion of Iraq—Wednesday March 19, 2008, 6 pm at Westlake Park

Pacific University and Students for a Democratic Society will be hosting renowned activist, anarchist, author, and orator Ashanti Alston. The former Black Panther and one-time political prisoner will address his past work as well as his current work on the Jericho Movement—a call for amnesty and freedom for political prisoners—and Estación Libre, an activist group working in solidarity with the Zapatistas (EZLN).

The event is free and open to the public.

9/11 Blueprint for Truth - The Architecture of Destruction

Architect Richard Gage will discuss how he believes the destruction of the World Trade Center Towers was accomplished by controlled demolition on March 22nd at 7 p.m. at the Museum of History and Industry.

Richard Gage, AIA, is a Bay Area architect and founder of Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth ( http://www.AE911Truth.org). He has, in his 20 years of practicing architecture, worked on numerous fire-proofed steel-framed buildings.
