TACOMA, Wash. – Two religious scholars — one Jewish and one Palestinian — are coming to University of Puget Sound’s Schneebeck Concert Hall to deliver the lecture, “Palestine/Israel: One Land, Many Narratives, and a Dialogue.” The talk is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 16. The event, part of the Swope Lecture Series on Ethics, Religion, Faith, and Values, is free and open to the public; seating is limited.

September 17th: Taring Padi Radical Art Show
Radical Indonesian street artists Taring Padi will showing some of their work FBK house 6272 S. Ellis Ave (in Seattle's Georgetown neighborhood) on Wed. Sept. 17th.
Gallery will open @ 7:00 p.m.
Documentary And Discussion (art. activism and rock&roll) @ 8:30 p.m.
Local bands: Pipsqueak, Future Phones, and Doomhawk will play after the movie.
$5-$15 dollar recomended donation. No one turned away for lack of funds.

Matthew Scott was a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force and served for eight and a half years. He was deployed to Afghanistan following September 11, and after seeing nearly a year of combat, he left the military to travel and settled in Tacoma. Matthew began painting as a way to rehabilitate himself back and express his experiences.
