A meeting is planned at the Tacoma office of Congressman Norm Dicks on the 14th of January 2008. It will begin at 1:30 PM in front of the Federal Courthouse located at 1917 Pacific Avenue. While Impeachment will be the main topic of interest, other subjects will be mentioned as well, such as the Iraq wars legality, and environmental issues. About four months ago a group of around 8 to 10 of us from FOR, PJH, and Veterans for Peace on the anniversary of 9/11 held a similar gathering, this time we'd like to double the turn out to demonstrate this is a serious issue for many in Pierce County. From the Court House a roughly 10 minute walk to the Congressman's office while carrying signs is planned. Any Activists that would find the walk difficult or would simply prefer to stay out of the rain if any, would be able to wait at Starbucks located just one block south of the Congressman's office then join us as we walk past. Yes there is still plenty of time to Impeach, however time is not unlimited. We have to send a message now that an Illegal war, and the lies that got us there warrant impeachment at least as much as lying about a sexual encounter.
