This training is for anyone interested in better understanding the process and value of Unions and Union organizing. You do not have to be a member of the IWW to attend this FREE training.

Attack on IWW Solidarity March in Providence, RI-Support Needed!

On Aug. 11, 2007, at 12pm EST the Providence wobblies organized a march on Jackies Galaxy, which is a restaurant chain that is being supplied by HWH in New York City, a supplier who is notorious for its slave labor conditions of up to 110 hours per week without basic labor rights (minimum wage and overtime).

Plaza West Building
7406 27th St. W
University Place
From I-5 north or south, take the Bremerton-Gig Harbor cutoff near 38th St., follow to the Jackson Street Exit, make a right crossing back over top of freeway onto Jackson St. (Jackson become Bridgeport), make a right at 27th and we will be meeting in the third building on the right. Pull to the lower lot and enter at the back door.

IWW Historian completes a labor of love -- 'The Big Red Songbook'
Posted July 2nd, 2007 by PatrickJohn Neuhaus was a strapping Mission District machinist who joined the Industrial Workers of the World -- the radical unionists called the Wobblies -- in San Francisco in 1930. A passionate man who wore lumberjack shirts and had no use for doctors, lawyers and other bourgeoisie, Neuhaus became an ardent folklorist, researching and collecting the potent and piquant songs that Wobblies of many creeds and colors sang around copper mines and hobo campfires, on picket lines and in jail.
