The Battle of Khimki

The Battle of Khimki: Russian anarchists take on fascists, the
government & the mafia in the fight to stop a highway.

Ecologists, anarchists, and antifascists in Russia have been fighting
to stop a new toll highway from being built between Moscow and St.
Petersburg. A reroute of the highway will destroy a forest near the
town of Khimki, outside of Moscow, where governmental and private
figures stand to profit handsomely off the selling of land and the
building of commercial centers along the highway.

Please show your support for a Tacoma resolution condemning the state of Arizona for allowing racist legislation to become a reality for those living or visiting Arizona.

Council needs to see support for the resolution or they will not pass it. Please make sure to let them know racism is NOT a Tacoma value.

Friday, March 19th is the 7th anniversary of beginning the Shocking and Awful bombing of Iraq in 2003.

Save the date to protest our current foreign policy in Iraq, and Afghanistan/Pakistan.

4:00 pm RALLY at the Federal Courthouse in Tacoma, followed by MARCH to I-5 overpass.
Working at 4:00 PM? Then join our demonstration at 5:30 at the Pacific Ave/I-5 overpass (bridge).

Activists protest in front of Northwest Detention Center on Feb. 13. lashing out at the legal limbo those locked up inside of it face, protesters demonstrated outside of Northwest Detention Center (NWDC) on Feb. 13. Activists object to facility conditions, and rally on the second Saturday of each month at noon. Food and beverages are provided to detainee visitors, while protestors picket the facility and provide information about NWDC to the public.

This month Critical Mass takes over all of Tacoma. Come on out for a community bicycle ride (rain or shine) on Friday, February 26th. Meet up at Jefferson Park in North Tacoma (about N 9th and Madison) a bit before 6pm, and we’ll figure it all out from there. Hope to see you there!
