An estimated 380 gallons of diesel oil (but perhaps as much as 1,800 gallons) was released into the Hylebos Waterway during an unattended transfer of fuel between tanks on a fishing vessel. Christine Gregoire's efforts to clean up that waterway now appear somewhat futile.
