Rather than face the giant inflatable rat and educating JwJ activists, Mr. Cohen suddenly closed his condo sales center and ducked into hiding for a day. Potential clients were left outside a locked gate taking leaflets from us and listening to the risks of buying million-dollar condos on the Asarco toxic waste site that was the sole domestic producer of rat poison.

Security guards trying to unionize at the Port of Tacoma are threatened with termination if they do not accept the union that the company chooses for them. This video features an interview with a worker who was fired earlier this month.

Anti-Union Firing, Picket Line Staged

TACOMA - on Thursday February 21st a picket line was staged at the Port of Tacoma APM terminal to push the administration of Maersk, the largest ship supply vessel in the world with its North American headquarters in Tacoma, and Securitas, its contracted security department, to free its workers from strict union controls which led to a union organizer's firing earlier in the month.
