Records. The Tacoma Evergreen State College Law Club is
sponsoring a workshop on Saturday, February 7, 2009 from 10am to 1pm for
students and the general public.
Attorneys Paul Landry, Cynthia Macklin, Sean Wickens, and Carl
Livingston will present and be available for questions.
Topics to be presented include:
> Changing laws regarding criminal convictions
> Clear Felony and Misdemeanor criminal records
> Knowing your rights and reducing your chance of criminal conviction
Founding Convention for a Northwest Coalition to Coordinate Direct Action against Imperialism
Posted November 23rd, 2008 by PatrickThere is going to be a Founding Convention for a Northwest Coalition to Coordinate Direct Action in our region against Imperialism. The convention's purpose will be to determine points of unity and set up the general structure of the coalition.
The convention will consist of workshops and meetings as well as networking time.
Food and Housing will be provided.
It will begin on Friday, December 5, 2008 at 7:00pm at The Evergreen State College and go until Sunday, December 7, 2008 at 6:00pm.

The SoJust mission is to declare a day of justice through art, music, and dance. The vision is:

Workshops include:
* Student activism in India – Local activist, pacifist and former UN
peacekeeper Dr. Muhammad Ayub will give a talk about his experience as a
student activist and organizer in India.
* GI Resistance - The history of the role soldiers played in ending the
Vietnam war and what it means for us today.
* Sanctuary City – the project to make Olympia a sanctuary city for both
GI war resisters and undocumented workers.

Day 8 of Sit-in at Evergreen
Posted May 29th, 2008 by AnonymousToday, May 29th, marks the 9th day of the sit-in of Evergreen State College administrator Art Costantino’s hallway. The students are sitting to demand the immediate reinstatement of Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) with no disciplinary actions being taken against the group and a full apology from the administration, negotiations regarding the rehiring of Kelly Beckham, a student who was fired from her on campus job after her participation in the sit-in, and a reworking of the way that student group status is revoked, to be decided upon by students.
