Demonstration Against the War in Afghanistan!
Posted August 19th, 2009 by PatrickU.S. out of Afghanistan Now!
On October 7 begins the ninth year of U.S.-sponsored war and ruin for the Afghan people. The Obama/NATO escalation has only escalated this great crime, while generals and government officials talk of sending still more troops, and of being in Afghanistan for many years, if not decades.
We say no! With tens of thousands of innocent Afghans already dead, no more! With nearly 1300 U.S.-NATO soldiers already dead, no more! Step up work to build the anti-war movement!

Tacoma Protest in Solidarity with Greek Resistance
Posted December 9th, 2008 by AnonymousOn Dec 6th 15 year old Alexandros Grigoropoulos was shot dead by an Athens police officer.
Initial reports said that a firebomb was thrown at the police, this was later dismissed. Police also reported that they fire a stun grenade and 3 "warning shots" straight into the air.
Further investigation and witnesses prove that the officer aimed directly at Gregory, hitting him in the chest.
He was pronounced dead 15 minutes later.
Since that night riots have engulfed Greece.
People have been in the streets directly combating the police.

Watch out! He might use his free speech as a weapon!
Posted August 28th, 2008 by AndrewOne protester stands alone with his sign on the evening of August 27, 2008 in Denver. Luckily the police are here to "protect" us. Maybe when the cameras are off, they got a chance to "protect" the hell out of him. Originally posted to Colorado Indymedia.
Police Make Up Reasons to Get Violent (Surprise!)
Posted August 26th, 2008 by AndrewA police report claimed that the reason they attacked people last night and arrested others was because "[the protestors] were carrying rocks and other items that could be used to threaten public safety".
But a trained observer on the scene disputes that:
I was a Legal Observer working with the People's Law Project and the National Lawyer's Guild and as such i was right in the middle of all the action last night.
First, in regard to the reports from authorities that protesters were carrying or throwing rocks, I observed no one carrying or throwing rocks, that isn't to say that it didn't occur but as a trained observer who was every bit as well positioned as the police I saw no such activity.
Second, in the very first instance where pepper spray was used against the activists there was considerable distance between the protesters and police and the protesters were complying with the chants that were being shouted by the police to "Move Back".
