The Green Point was in Kuwait September 8th through the 12th, and is now heading into the coastal waters off of occupied Turtle Island. It is expected at the Port of Tacoma this weekend. East Blair One terminal on Alexander is the expected point of landing. The ship is estimated to be arriving early Saturday AM around 0800, and is expected to generate traffic on I-5 late nights from Monday through Wednesday, 9PM - 3AM each night.

OLYMPIA – Fort Lewis plans an inquiry into claims by members of an Olympia
antiwar group that a civilian employee of the fort infiltrated and spied on the
group for nearly two years.
Members of Olympia Port Militarization Resistance say that John J. Towery posed
as an anarchist and took part in the antiwar group's activities from 2007 until
last month.
A Fort Lewis spokesman said Monday that an officer has been appointed to conduct
an inquiry into the allegation.

Posted May 4th, 2009 by PatrickProtesters are resisting the US Military surge in Afghanistan by blocking Stryker Vehicles bound for the Port of Tacoma for shipment overseas.
May 3, 2009 Tacoma, WA – Activists staged a series of successful direct actions in several locations on the night of May 2, blocking striker vehicles bound for the Port of Tacoma from Fort Lewis. Blockades halted strikers at several points along Interstate 5, and 11 activists were arrested. Demonstrators have pledged to continue resisting the use of the port for war shipments.

Posted May 3rd, 2009 by PatrickSaturday night, May 2nd, Port Militarization Resistance (PMR) folks gathered at 21st and Pacific Avenue in Downtown Tacoma, successfully taking Pacific Avenue over and marched to the Pierce County Jail where the intersection of 9th and Tacoma Ave was occupied for about 15 minutes by a bad ass Coup sound track. No downtown arrests as of 2:40am.
