New York IVAW Attacked By Police At Debates

One hour before the final presidential debate of the 2008 campaign, fourteen members of Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) marched in formation to Hofstra University to present questions to the candidates. IVAW had requested permission from debate moderator Bob Schieffer to ask their questions during the debate, but received no response.

Northwest Winter Soldier
Posted April 28th, 2008 by PatrickIn 1971 Vets from the Vietnam War, organized by Vietnam Veterans Against the War, came together to provide testimony about the horrific events that occurred during the War. Many spoke about the killing innocent civilians, rape, and torture that they had witnessed and taken part in.
Last month Iraq Veterans Against the War (www.ivaw.org) held a similar event in Washington D.C.

Once again, we are fighting for the soul of our country. We will demonstrate our patriotism by speaking out with honor and integrity instead of blindly following failed policy. Winter Soldier is a difficult but essential service to our country.
