Kellogg, Brown and Root (KBR), for those who might not know, is a former subsidiary of Halliburton and is contracted for most of the reconstruction in Iraq. It is a very profitable organization, consistently winning contracts with the US Federal Government to rebuild states since WWII. It is also the largest non-unionized construction company based in the US.

President Bush drove from the SeaTac airport to Bellevue in order to raise money for Republican Dave Reichert. Hundreds of people showed up to protest his motorcade as he drove through the city to the hotel. (Watch out, this video is loud because the microphone blew out on the camera.)

The Northwest Detention Center is a private immigration prison facility located on the tide flats of Tacoma, Washington. On Nov. 9 and 10 of 2007 activists marched to the Wells Fargo bank to protest. Wells Fargo is one of the largest financiers of the Geo Group, which operates the Northwest Detention Center.
